Managed by EnAccess, the Open Source Energy Access (OSEA) Community is a welcoming space for people who care about Open Source innovation and sustainable energy access.

This is a collaborative space where you can share ideas, ask questions, connect with project leads and technical experts, and participate in active discussions about Open Source solutions for the energy sector.

Our members include engineers, project founders, researchers, field practitioners, and newcomers exploring Open Source for the first time. Everyone is encouraged to engage positively, share resources, and help shape impactful projects.

How can this community help you?

It’s friendly and inclusive- new members are guided through onboarding and introduced to our channels.

 

Conversations range from technical deep-dives and project pitches to general advice and brainstorming.

 

There are clear server guidelines that help maintain a professional and supportive environment, and moderators are available to ensure interactions are respectful.

 

There are and arise many opportunities to pitch project ideas, access support, and get feedback from experienced practitioners.

How to join OSEA Community Discord channels

Joining is simple, free and we welcome everyone interested in Open Source energy access.

1. Get the invite link

2. Create or log into a Discord account

If new to Discord, visit https://discord.com/ to sign up. You can use Discord on desktop or mobile devices.

3. Join the server

Paste the invite link in the "Join a Server" dialog if prompted, or click the link directly. Accept the invitation to access EnAccess channels.

4. Review community guidelines

On entry or on the #welcome channel, you’ll see our clear rules and guidelines for respectful and constructive engagement. Please read and accept them before joining discussions.

5. Start engaging

Introduce yourself in the #welcome channel. Use our server guide to discover project channels, pitch ideas, ask questions, or participate in ongoing conversations and events.
