Support EnAccess in securing funding by producing compelling, donor-aligned grant proposals that clearly articulate EnAccess’s value proposition, impact, and technical expertise in energy access and Open Source innovations.

EnAccess is a non-profit organization that helps the energy access community design and deliver digital and Open solutions rooted in local environments. Our Open Source approach ensures that every innovation can be reused, remixed, and adapted
anywhere, catalysing energy access where it’s needed most to fast-track the race towards SDG7.
Responsibilities
These are core responsibilities:
● Identify and respond to selected funding opportunities from institutional donors, foundations, and development partners.
● Draft, edit, and finalize grant proposals, concept notes, and expressions of interest with the support of the management team
● Translate technical program information into clear, persuasive narratives tailored to donor priorities
● Ensure alignment with EnAccess’s mission, theory of change, and ongoing portfolio
● Collaborate with the team to gather inputs (budgets, logframes, results frameworks, etc.)
● Review donor guidelines to ensure full compliance
Additional responsibilities may be defined based on the applicants’ profiles.
Required Qualification and Experience
Essential:
● Proven experience writing successful grant proposals for NGOs, international development organisations, or social enterprises
● Strong understanding of donor funding landscapes (e.g., bilateral donors, foundations, climate and development funders)
● Excellent written English, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively
● Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Desirable:
● Experience in energy access, renewable energy technologies, climate, Open Source or inclusive market development
● Familiarity with gender equality and social inclusion principles
● Experience working with international or multi-country programs
● Experience working in small to medium-sized organizations and related dynamics
About the position
● Fully remote part-time position, exact time commitment can be discussed based on qualification and availability, but we anticipate ranging somewhere between 8 and 16 hours/week. To ensure smooth communication and meeting scheduling with the team, approximately 60-80% of work time should be scheduled during the CET core work time (9 am – 5 pm).
● Six-month contract from February to July, with the possibility of extending it until depending on budget, satisfaction of both parties, and needs.
● Consultancy contract
● If based in Germany or The Netherlands, we can offer a fixed-term employment contract
